Job Summary

To play a critical role in bridging all necessary actions for finance and the organisation of APA businesses. A strategic ally to the business units, providing support and data-driven insights and financial modelling necessary to drive any necessary decision making, support or financial related matters and achieving long-term business objectives align with the APA Business vision and goal.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Budgeting & Forecasting
  
  
  
  • Support and lead the annual budgeting process, collaborating with business units to set realistic financial targets.
  
  
  • Develop rolling forecasts and update projections based on business performance and market conditions.
  
  
  • Ensure alignment of budgets with strategic objectives and operational plans.
  
  
  
  


• Performance Monitoring
  
  
  
  • Conduct monthly analysis of budget vs. actuals, highlighting variances and root causes.
  
  
  • Provide clear, actionable insights to management to improve cost efficiency and revenue growth.
  
  
  • Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and develop dashboards for ongoing monitoring.
  
  
  
  


• Business Partnering
  
  
  
  • Work closely with department heads to translate financial data into operational strategies.
  
  
  • Support decision-making by modeling scenarios and assessing financial impacts of initiatives.
  
  
  • Act as a trusted advisor, challenging assumptions and promoting financial discipline.
  
  
  
  


• Reporting & Compliance


• Prepare management reports with commentary on financial performance.


• Ensure compliance with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.


• Support audit and governance processes related to financial planning and reporting.


• Any other ad-hoc responsibilities that are required to support the company vision and goal.

Job Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or related field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA, CPA, CFA) preferred, but not required


• 5+ years of experience in financial planning & analysis (FP&A), business partnering with management accounting


• Strong analytical skills with expertise in budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.


• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills


• Proficiency in financial modelling and tools (Excel, Power BI, etc.)


• Ability to influence and drive change in a cross-functional environment.
