Application Engineer

Job Description:

• Plans, schedules and monitors own work ensuring tasks are approached in a well-organized and methodical way.
• Works according to standard methods and tools, programming work packages as specified. Uses conformance, acceptance and testing processes as required.
• Prepares documentation on code specification, customer requirements or project and quality plans. Ensures that documentation is maintained, and any changes included in the final documentation set.
• Assists in requirements identification, including new business opportunities and their analysis and designs small components of the customer solution.
• Under the supervision of manager, ability to perform the following in relates to the project.
• Product Briefing.
• Conduct requirement study together with the senior/manager.
• Understand customer requirements and represent them in document form.
• Prepare all other necessary documentation in relates to the project such as project sign-off document, minutes and etc.
• Perform systems design and configuration, including reports and document.
• Conduct data migration for both master records and transactions.
• Prepare the test script for the Integration Testing (IT) & User Acceptance Test (UAT).
• Train end users in administering the systems.
• Certified in the product (by module) as and when required by the manager.
• Communicates and works effectively with colleagues and customers.
• Works according to the project plan and in consideration of milestones, escalating any deviations.
• Develops own technical/application specialism, further and proactively seeks to increase own level of expertise and broaden technical skillset.

Skills & Requirements:

• Candidate must possess a Degree in Business Information Systems/Finance/Accounting or equivalent.
• Preferably with a Degree or major in Enterprise Information Systems is PLUS.
• Good command of both written and spoken English. Mandarin communication is an added advantage to support China & Hong Kong regions.
