Description

• We are seeking a seasoned and strategic Finance Director to lead our dynamic finance team and play a crucial role in driving the financial performance of our manufacturing company. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the financial function, from financial planning and analysis to risk management and controls. As a key member of the leadership team, you will partner with other departments to ensure sound financial decision-making that supports our growth objectives.Responsibilities:Financial Leadership & Strategy:Develop and implement the company's long-term financial strategy, aligning it with the overall business strategy.
Lead the development of annual budgets and financial forecasts, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business goals.Analyze financial performance, identify trends and risks, and provide insights to support strategic decision-making.Oversee the financial aspects of mergers and acquisitions (M&A) activities (if applicable).

Financial Operations & Reporting:Manage all aspects of the financial accounting function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.Lead the preparation of financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow statement) according to GAAP or IFRS.Oversee internal controls and ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations.Manage relationships with external auditors.Cash Flow Management & Risk Management:Develop and implement strategies to optimize cash flow and manage working capital effectively.Identify, assess, and mitigate financial risks, including foreign exchange risk, interest rate risk, and credit risk.Develop and implement risk management frameworks and policies.Manufacturing Cost Management:Analyze and manage manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead expenses.Work with production and operations teams to identify cost reduction opportunities and improve profitability.Develop and implement cost-control measures.Team Leadership & Development:Lead and mentor a team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative and results-oriented work environment.Contribute to the development and implementation of performance management systems for the finance department.Stay up-to-date on industry best practices in financial management.

Profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting or related professional qualification. Those with Master Degree will have added advantage;
• Minimum 8 years related experience in similar field;
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;
• Candidate with experience holding financial controller / management role will have an added advantage;
• Strong commercial awareness and business acumen;
• Candidate possesses sound knowledge of manufacturing financial operations will have an added advantage;
• Excellent leadership skills and able to motivate and develops others;
• Aggressive, visionary and willing to take calculated risk for dynamic business growth;
• Attentive to details, alert and capable of identifying business growth & cost saving opportunity as well as process improvement alternative;
• Strong understanding of latest accounting standard;
• Strong reporting and organizational skills.
