About this Role:

We are seeking a versatile and experienced professional to join our team as a Finance and Legal Manager. This role will oversee both financial operations and legal compliance, ensuring the organization's financial health and legal integrity. The ideal candidate will possess strong financial acumen, legal expertise, and excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

Finance:

• Develop and implement financial strategies, policies, and procedures to optimize financial performance and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and analyze financial reports, including budgets, financial statements, cash flow projections, and variance analysis.
• Manage day-to-day financial activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll processing, and cash management.
• Monitor key financial metrics and KPIs, identify trends, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.
• Oversee tax planning and compliance, including preparation of tax returns, tax filings, and coordination with external tax advisors.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and internal controls.
• Liaise with external auditors, bankers, and other financial stakeholders as needed.
• Supervise and mentor finance staff, providing guidance, support, and performance feedback.

Legal:

• Provide legal counsel and guidance on a wide range of legal matters, including contracts, agreements, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance.
• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and legal documents to protect the organization's interests.
• Conduct legal research and analysis to ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry standards.
• Manage legal risks and disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and alternative dispute resolution processes.
• Collaborate with external legal counsel and advisors to address complex legal issues and navigate legal challenges.
• Develop and implement compliance programs and policies to ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
• Provide legal support and guidance to other departments, including HR, sales, and operations, as needed.
• Stay informed about changes in laws, regulations, and industry trends that may impact the organization.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
• Proven experience in finance and legal management roles, with a minimum of 5 years of combined experience.
• Strong knowledge of finance and accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting standards
• In-depth understanding of corporate law, contract law, and regulatory compliance requirements.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented and organized, with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities, with a collaborative and inclusive approach.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting tools, as well as legal research databases and software.
