Your Role

  • Financial Reporting – Analyze, monitor, and review accounting and financial data to ensure financial reports are accurate and submitted on time as scheduled, through close partnership with Business and Function stakeholders

- Drive P&L and Balance sheet review with Financial Controllers

- Organize and run periodic review within APMEA, BA EA or Group as appropriate.

Develop, maintain and update KPI Dashboard for Accounting and Controlling activities

Accounting Governance – Lead standardization projects and establish regional controller framework to enhance compliance, reporting, period close and process workflow, communicate changes/updates in Accounting guidelines, policies, and regulatory requirements

  • Work with Group Accounting, GPO and GFSS and BA Controllers on accounting matters

  • Develop and maintain Local and Regional Policies and approval workflows in alignment with BAEA and Group policies and guidelines. Provide/establish guidelines and instructions to various functions to ensure that the agreed processes and/or accounting rules are followed.

  • Process improvement – Identify, provide training, and implement process improvement activities and maintain updated documentation at a central shared storage.

    • Drive Continuous Improvement projects within APMEA in alignment with BA EA, Group Accounting, GPO, and Group Tax & Treasury

    • Run Best Practice sharing sessions with GFSS and Financial Controllers within APMEA

    • Drive training for Finance employees for Accounting and Controlling content

    • Set up and maintain online reference materials for APMEA in alignment to Group and BA EA Sites

  • Stakeholder engagement - Build and sustain effective relationships with locations and across streams to deliver project goals, drive quality performance and implement best practices.

    • Support Financial Controllers to ensure that the ECS controls are implemented and followed.

    • Support New Entity set up and accounting work migration to GFSS in Malaysia

A Typical Day

  • Ensure accuracy, timely execution and in compliance with accounting principles, company policies and applicable regulatory guidelines for the reporting activities assigned.

  • Takes accountability on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) result and constantly provide solutions to improve the results.

  • Actively pursue and provide solutions to resolve issues working across teams.

  • Ensuring that appropriate internal processes, controls, policies, and procedures are in place and comply with Electrolux standards.

  • Engage the stakeholder to resolve any operational issues.

  • Identify opportunities and implement process improvements, simplifications, standardization, and automation; and

  • Drive Continuous Improvement and Operational Excellences for the Accounting Function for APAC & MEA

  • Identify business needs and contribute solutions to business problems.

Who You Are

  • At least 10 years working experience in finance and accounting activities, good knowledge of accounting principles, activities and processes, awareness of internal and external business environment, good understanding of the relevant regional accounting practices and the regulatory environment

  • Must possess at least a bachelor’s degree in Finance and Accounting or equivalent

  • Strong stakeholder management skills

  • Strong technical, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

  • Demonstrate good influencing, presentation, and written skill across functions

  • Knowledge on SAP is preferred.

  • Experience in a shared services & Center of Excellence environment is an added advantage

  • Available to travel / full time oriented.
