Penerangan Pekerjaan - Pricing Tactics Advisor

Responsibilities:

  • To steward company earnings performance by providing strategic pricing analysis and recommendations to optimize margin performance across business line.
  • Actively participate in Supply Chain Meetings to align pricing strategies with operational capabilities.
  • Translate pricing tactics into actionable strategies for tenders and business proposals ie: setting target / floor prices by taking into account customer's need and prevailing market conditions.
  • Collaborate with Sales to understand market dynamics and customer needs. Provide ongoing advice to Sales reflecting importance / complexity of the business.
  • Track business performance metrics and propose corrective actions to optimize earnings.
  • Liaise closely with Controllers for data input when performing margin bridging exercise.
  • Liaise closely with Supply, Distribution and Sales support for all periodic and/or ad hoc data update that is used in the calculator / pricing tools to ensure all output generated are current and accurate.
  • Manage structured Sales interface to review segment / customer performance to identify high-grading opportunity and propose improvement strategy i.e. NBM, Whale curve etc.
  • Identify potential channel conflicts and coordinates review as appropriate for resolution.
  • Develop / evaluate sales economics and determine the optimal disposition channel i.e. prevent channel switching and optimize corporation earning.
  • Perform quarterly market share analysis report for higher management review and decision making.
  • Conduct training / knowledge sharing workshop to Sales and other business functions.
  • Provides input for data request from other business functions for their analysis / planning / decision making.
  • Prepare and coordinate for Sales team on the monthly demand forecast by product by terminal. Propose corrective actions should actual volume deviate significantly from original forecast.
  • Perform products import economics for Traders.
  • Perform ad-hoc SAP Transfer price validation to ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure legal and control compliance.
  • Backup for Pricing Coordinator, fellow Tactics Advisor and Pricing Supervsior.
  • Any other ad-hoc business requirement, eg: support business plan.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree or any equivalent, along with completion of any relevant course with outstanding academic achievement
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ pricing related working experience 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Strong analytical skills.
  • Effective communication and strategic mindset.
  • Detailed understanding of business, market and pricing strategy.
