Senior Executive, Corporate Affairs and Investment

LGB Group , a prominent Malaysian conglomerate with a diversified portfolio across utilities, infrastructure, renewable energy, property development, and more, seeks a Senior Executive to join our vibrant Corporate Affairs & Investment team. As a key player of the team directly supporting the Executive Director, you'll be instrumental in supporting the Group's continuous growth strategy.

Job scope:

-Strategic Growth & Transactions : Assist in developing and implementing various strategic initiatives, which may include mergers & acquisitions, asset monetisation, fund raising (debt & equity). Specifics tasks may include:

• Assist with investment evaluation by preparing and reviewing financial models, board & executive committee documents, and analysing investment details.
• Facilitate due diligence processes by coordinating with internal & external stakeholders.
• Support fundraising activities through negotiations with lenders, legal counsel, and external parties.
• Review all relevant contracts.
• Manage relationships with corporate advisors (investment banks, consultants) and internal/external parties, including regulatory bodies.
• Assist each division in their respective strategic initiatives as needed.

-Portfolio Monitoring & Reporting:

• Monitor performance of each division by reviewing and compiling monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Provide meeting briefs for executive committee & board documents for investee companies.

-Investor Relations : Contribute to investor relations activities such as preparing and reviewing relevant materials for analysts' presentations, annual reports, press releases & announcements, annual general meetings, and etc. 

-Special Projects : Assist with ad-hoc requests and special projects for the Group Chairman and other major shareholders.

Skill-set requirement:

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in financial projections, analysis and modelling, tax, and has strong understanding in the impact of accounting process and practices.
• Team player, good problem solvers and proactive.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics related field or accounting/finance professional qualifications e.g. ACCA/CPA/CFA or its equivalent is preferred
• At least 2 years of relevant working experience in industries such as investment banking, fund management, venture capital, accounting/tax, or management consulting.
