Assistant Vice President Underwriting

• Assist the Senior Vice President (on developing and establishing underwriting, processing and administration standards and procedures of general takaful business.
• Establish and monitor implementation of sound underwriting principles, guidelines and practice to deal with the risk factors and exposures arising from business accepted and managing the risks profitably through the implementation of effective risk control measures.
• Assist in developing, enhancing and monitoring operational workflow standard operations procedures including certificate issuance, endorsements, risk surveys, etc.
• Prepare monthly management and statutory reports on all aspect of underwriting and operation processes.
• Assist in developing and establishing training materials relating to underwriting guidelines and work processes.
• Engage with distribution channels including branches and assist in developing strategies to sustain and improve business growth.
• Ensure all processes are implemented according to rules and regulations of the Company and authorities
• Carry out any other appropriate duties as assigned by the Senior Management from time to time.

ACADEMIC

Degree in Takaful or Insurance or other equivalent or related qualifications in Takaful or Insurance

PROFESSIONAL

Associateship in Malaysian Insurance Institute or other equivalent or related qualifications in Takaful or Insurance

EXPERIENCE

Min 5 years experience heading or managing Underwriting or Operations department
