Director of Rooms (Angsana Teluk Bahang, Penang) Front Office

The successful candidate shall be reporting to the General Manager and supports the running of the hotel by directing, controlling, and coordinating all rooms operations in ensuring the hotel achieves its financial, guest satisfaction, internal processes, learning and growth objectives.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the performance of the Front Office, Housekeeping and Recreation as well as providing guidance and assistance in the execution of the operations
• Directs and controls all subordinate Rooms division associates to ensure that all day-to-day operational matters are handled on time and guest expectations are met or exceeded
• Ensures the implementation and maintenance of operation equipment and par stocks in concerned departments and oversees inventory taking and control
• Assists in the preparation of the hotel’s annual budget and more specifically responsible for the hotel’s Rooms Division budget
• Ensures that associates are selected and groomed to support the successful delivery of the division and hotel goals

Requirements

• Tertiary education in related field, or full hospitality professional qualifications
• Minimum 8 – 10 years experiences in luxury, upscale resorts with at least 3 years of hands-on experience in a similar position
• Strong interpersonal skill with ability to express effective, clear and concise verbal and written messages
• Strong leadership, organisational and administrative skills
• Approachable, outgoing with easy manner in dealing with guests and associates
• Must have the right to work in Malaysia
