Job Summary:

We're in search of a skilled Network Administrator to join our client's dynamic team. As a Network Administrator, you'll play a crucial role in managing our organization's computer networks, ensuring their seamless operation, security, and efficiency. Your responsibilities will include installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, monitoring network performance, troubleshooting issues, and implementing robust security measures to mitigate cyber threats. Additionally, you'll oversee network expansion and upgrades, provide technical support to users, and collaborate closely with other IT professionals to ensure our network infrastructure aligns with organizational requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Install, configure, and maintain network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Set up, configure, and manage network software, including operating systems, network protocols, and security applications.
• Monitor network performance and address issues such as connectivity problems, bandwidth bottlenecks, and security breaches.
• Implement effective security measures like firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols to safeguard against cyber threats.
• Conduct routine security audits and vulnerability assessments to identify and rectify potential weaknesses in the network.
• Oversee network expansion and upgrades, coordinating the deployment of new equipment and migration to advanced technologies.
• Provide technical support to users, assisting with troubleshooting network-related problems and resolving connectivity issues.
• Collaborate with fellow IT professionals, including system administrators, database administrators, and cybersecurity specialists, to ensure the network infrastructure meets organizational needs.
• Stay abreast of emerging technologies and best practices in network administration, offering recommendations for enhancing the organization's network infrastructure.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a network administrator or similar role.
• Proficient knowledge of networking protocols.
• Experience working with network hardware, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
• Familiarity with network monitoring tools like Wireshark, Nagios, and SolarWinds.
• Strong grasp of network security principles and best practices.
• Excellent troubleshooting abilities and keen attention to detail.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the capability to collaborate seamlessly with team members and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
