Assistant Contract Manager

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

• Timely submission of progress claims and other claims relation.
• Attend site valuation to ensure certification is always higher than the certified amount.
• Follow up with consultants / main contractor on certification.
• Assist in insurance claim.
• Early proactive claim of down payment. Ensure timely and regular progress claims.
• Arrange to procure requisite banker's guarantee, performance bond and other financial instruments for submission. On job completion, arrange for all bonds to be cancelled or return.
• Involve in negotiation, discussion and engagement pertaining to claims, certification and other contract management issues.
• Ensure all variation works are in accordance with contract requirement, claimed and paid accordingly. For Temporary Usage of lifts and other claims, ensure supplementary contract are accepted.
• Ensure timely processing of the various IT ERP system such as SAP, SPAN, CCM, IMS etc.
• Ensure compliance with other submissions, i.e. CIDB, NIOSH etc.
• Advise project personnel in matters of contract management.
• Carry out and take lead in all LAD mitigation responses.
• Attend and provide update on project during Credit Control meeting. Recommend action on problematic jobs.
• Timely settlement of Final Accounts and Final Claims within 3 months of contract completion.
• Review new tender or award contract requirement as per company policy.
• Negotiate on unacceptable terms with Client/ Main-Contractor/Consultant.
• Liaising and supporting Sales Team on contract terms.
• Financial check (CTOS) for new / existing customer.
• Highlight potential project risks during the project Hand Over meeting (from Sale to Project team)
• CAP (Contract Approval Portal) input to obtain approvals for deviated contract / tender.
• Assist in dispute management including liaising with external lawyers, consultants and disputing party.
• Assist in insurance claims support, in negotiation of problematic jobs,in compiling document for external legal advisors (LOD / CIPAA / Arbitration / Litigation Proceeding), and in updating the Legal Report.
• Ensure commercial administrative works are completed such as filling, compiling documents, fax, sending out claims etc.

We Elevate... Your Best Self

• Degree in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management
• Minimum 3-5 years work experience with Developer, Contractor or Consultant.
• Added advantage Degree with an added Master or Legal.
• Experience in credit control, litigation and negotiations is advantageous.
• Have managed direct reports in a contract administration setup.
• 8 years of diversified experience in developer/ main contractor handling large projects ( RM100 Million)
• Combination previous experience with Developer, consultant and contractor will be an added advantage.
