Chief Financial Officer

Job Title: Chief Financial Officer (MNC experience) - Salary up to RM 30,000

Report to: Group Chief Financial Officer

Job Purpose: To direct and oversee the financial activities of the corporation, direct the preparation of current financial reports and summaries and create forecasts predicting future growth.

Key Responsibilities

1. Financial Strategy and Planning : Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with the company’s objectives and market conditions. Lead financial planning processes, including budgeting, forecasting and scenario analysis, considering factors such as commodity price fluctuations and geopolitical risks.
2. Financial Reporting and Compliance : Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with regulatory standards (eg., SEC regulations for publicly traded companies). Oversee financial accounting, internal controls and audit processes to maintain transparency and integrity in financial reporting.
3. Capital Management and Investment Analysis : Manage the company’s capital structure and investment decisions, including capital budgeting, project evaluation, and risk assessment for exploration, production and development activities. Assess the economic viability of oil and gas projects, considering factors such as reserves estimation, production costs, and market demand.
4. Risk Management and Hedging Strategies : Identify and mitigate financial risks inherent in the oil and gas industry, such as commodity price volatility, currency exchange rate fluctuations, and geopolitical instability. Develop hedging strategies to manage exposure to price risk and protect revenue streams.
5. Treasury and Cash Management : Oversee treasury functions, including cash flow forecasting, liquidity management, debt financing, and working capital optimization. Manage relationships with banks, financial institutions and investors to ensure access to capital and efficient cash management.
6. Compliance and Governance : Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. Providing guidance on corporate governance matters and fostering a culture of ethical conduct and transparency.

Job Requirements

1. Master’s / Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in accounting, business or finance.
2. Professional certification (Certified Public Accountant/Malaysian Institute of Accounting or any related).
3. Experience working in an MNC organisation.
4. Experienced in any one of these international accounting standards: Indonesia / India / Middle East / Russia / UAE / Saura Arabia / Nigeria .
5. At least 12 years or more working experience in the Finance/Accounting field.
6. Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
7. Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills.
