Application Engineer

We Elevate... Your Responsibilities

• Perform Application Engineering (AE) in line with Modernization Design Department (MDC) Procedures and Work Instructions
• Comply fully with appropriate Schindler Norms and Code of Code Rules
• Perform calculations for non-standard elevators using Schindler Group and MDC Local approved tools
• Define elevator and component specification in accordance with Schindler Elevator System Standards, Group Product Lines and International and Local Elevator and Escalator Standards
• When required, prepare schematic drawings using AutoCAD and Schindler Draw
• Ensure the accurate calculations and solutions before submitting for approval
• Perform technical checks and approval of non-standard Application Engineering solutions
• Apply 4-eye principal when preparing drawings and calculations and ensure signed off by both Originator and Checker
• Where necessary provide factory costs and prepare order
• When necessary, prepare MDC Instructions and local tool to enable Sales Engineer and Draftsmen to apply pre-approved technical solutions for Tenders and Orders
• Carryout planning and supervision of MDC team members in absence of Manager Application Engineering
• Ensure that all engineer projects and inquiries are prepared and issued in line with the target dates set in MDC Service Level Agreement (SLA)
• Provide training and guidance to application engineers

• Technical University or College in Mechanical Engineering Discipline
• Minimum 4 years of working experience in Engineer related industry as Application Engineer/ Sales Engineer / Draft person
• Strong analytic, problem-solving and customer orientation skill
• Work independently
