MAIN OBJECTIVES & RESPONSIBILITIES: Make a difference and have a meaningful career.
A Sciente Business Development Manager will play a critical role in helping us to grow business technology consulting services within insurance & financial services industry sectors.
• Take ownership and implement the agreed-upon strategy to boost business technology consulting services revenue, in line with the business potential of the targeted segments.
• Identify new opportunities through referrals, networking, social media, internet research, sales leads, direct contact, and involvement in the RFP/tendering process.
• Initiate connections with prospects and engage with key stakeholders.
• Prepare and submit proposals in response to RFPs/tenders, presenting information about our services.
• Employ business development strategies to secure new business and foster growth.
• Proactively forge new client partnerships within targeted accounts, including organizational chart development.
• Collaborate with client managers, gather additional qualified requirements and educating them on our service offerings and processes.
• Leverage strategic industry/market analysis, internal communication, external promotions, and thorough client analysis to uncover revenue opportunities.
• Create opportunities to present our value proposition to senior executives and management-level contacts.
• Regularly update and maintain client information in accordance with Sciente standards/process.
• Collaborate with Sciente's internal stakeholders and delivery teams to ensure client satisfaction.
• Monitor Purchase Orders/agreements and oversee the process until collections are completed.
• Meet or exceed key performance goals related to new client acquisitions, revenue growth and client delight.
• Submit weekly report in a timely manner.
• Can work independently with remote support from Singapore/India.
• Ensure compliance with Sciente's values and policies. KEY RESULTS AREAS : • Work with high integrity, honesty and with transparency;
• To achieve the agreed revenue targets on a quarterly basis;
• To achieve the agreed level of accuracy & responsiveness to the clients. JOB HOLDER REQUIREMENTS: Essential Technical Knowledge/Skills : Technical skills Proficiency Level
Basic understanding of various technologies Medium
Basic understanding of various functions within technology operations Medium Functional Aspect: Functional knowledge Proficiency Level
Good understanding of insurance and/or financial services industry Medium to high
Good knowledge of industry regulations Low to medium
Good understanding of IT services business Medium to high Qualifications and Experience: • Ideal candidate shall have a degree or diploma in IT/Finance/Business, coupled with a natural inclination towards sales and business development.
• The candidate should boast a minimum of 8 years of demonstrable success in Sales/Business Development/Account management within the realm of technology-related application products/IT (managed) services.
• At least 2-3 years of local working experience within insurance or financial services industry in Malaysia is required.
• We are seeking an individual who is focused, disciplined, and capable of taking ownership of responsibilities, consistently delivering desired results within agreed-upon deadlines.
• The role requires excellent communication, interpersonal, presentation, and people management skills.
• The ability to work independently, leading transactions to closure and making informed decisions in the absence of detailed instructions, is crucial.
