IKEA Supply Chain Management Trainee Recruitment – Malaysia

We are now looking for graduates and early career talents with up to 2 years' work experience in Supply Chain to join our team in Port-Klang Malaysia.

Job Description

As Operations Support trainee you will strongly contribute for achievement of below tasks:

• Secure operations in the warehouse are executed to meet excellence in operations and collaboration with the External Service Provider (ESP) and other relevant stakeholders (Customs, Supply Operations, Retailers, etc.).
• Coordinate and optimize inbound and outbound planning execution tasks to secure goods delivery within the agreed parameters.
• Support development and implementing the warehouse's mapping strategy, including picking activity to optimize efficiency and continuously improve in-warehouse processes, in collaboration with service providers.
• Follow up on activities of the ESP in the warehouse unit to achieve expected results and initiate corrective actions with the goal of improving service standards at the lowest possible costs.
• Update, follow up and communicate KPI’s (inventory, quality, efficiency).
• Contribute to improving and optimizing the local ways of working.

As System Support trainee you will strongly contribute for achievement of below tasks:

• Work closely with the local team to improve logistics operations through our warehouse management systems.
• Monitor daily and weekly operations and identify potential risks or improvement needs.
• Provide reports related to the performance of the systems.
• Addresses issues to systems vendors.
• Take part in the regional Warehouse Management Systems meetings, propose change requests & performs the ROI analysis of new change requests on behalf of local unit.
• Ensure the WMS complies with relevant audit requirements.

During the first year, you will gain the knowledge and experience needed by working alongside our experts. You will also have a chance to join educations and field trips to learn in the reality of our business.

Qualifications

You are the right person for us if:

• Minimum bachelor's degree, preferably in Engineering/Logistics/Supply Chain/Information Technology
• Fresh graduates or with up to 2 years of work experience in a supply chain related job.
• Interested to develop in the world of logistics and supply chain
• Analytical thinking and problem solving
• Proficiency in technology
• Very good level of spoken and written English
• Team player

Additional Information
