Solution Architect

Position Summary:

Responsible for the design and architecture activities across business proposed solutions, application integrations, and API interfaces. Think the bigger picture and make the right technology architecture recommendations, decisions which will deliver business impact to business groups. Drive the architecture principles for a digital world – Agile, Micro Services, Layered Architecture, Loosely Coupled, API based, Dev-Ops, Hyper-scale and ready for cloud

Work closely with other technologists to define the digital architecture strategy across digital channels – Social, Mobile, Web, Data, Cloud, Analytics etc. Evaluate vendor digital platform, architectures and propose the right solution that best fits business requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• closely with technology team to ensure we deliver the right digital architectural strategies and outcomes that are strategically aligned across our business
• and prototype platform architectures to enable the digital adoption
• closely with the IT team, business teams, and supporting functions to create the next generation digital platforms to optimize efficiency and throughput for digital applications and will translate software development prototypes into product enabled components
• the subject matter expert in all the relevant technologies like Cloud, Big Data, IOT, etc. Knowledge of frameworks like MEAN stack, opensource tools like Pentaho, Knowage, Linux, etc. as well as end user computing.
• for staying updated on technology trends and provide impact analysis on how it will impact the digital plans
• benchmarking and defined specifications of the digital platforms. Accordingly, analyse and communicate technical recommendations to stakeholders
• closely with the business team to execute projects within timelines and budget
• evaluation of vendor's digital platform, architectures and propose the right solution that best fits customer's business requirements

Skills & Qualifications:

• drive and passion to work, and operate in a digital world
• to operate in a start-up mentality and unstructured environment
• years of experience working in enterprise architecture domain – specific focus on digital experience working on microservices, API, cloud native architecture, containers
• knowledge and exposure in digital platforms supporting products in IOT, Mobile Apps, Big Data, Online, Social, Digital Analytics, Cloud Platforms and others
• to work in cross-functional teams
• collaboration, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills in English a must. Bahasa and Mandarin knowledge will be advantageous
• in security by design of platforms preferred
• working in full stack JavaScript platforms
• proficient in common cloud service-oriented platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google, others) highly desirable
• as well as business understanding in software architecture trade-offs
• TOGAF certification or knowledge for this role
• candidate is required to do code review for AACP, FIOC and ASP/SOVD.
• manufacturing technology & system exposure for Pulp and Paper Manufacturing, Palm Oil refining and Viscose Fibre Manufacturing will be a bonus

Education:

Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Software engineering/computer science/ MIS/Engineering or related discipline
