Head of Digital & Technology

Position Overview:

Lead the Company in digitalization objectives by working closely with the executive board members and senior management team ensuring that the enterprise's business strategy is optimal, given current and emerging digital realities, opportunities and threats.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Create a digital strategy for the enterprise in alignment with the Group strategy and identify the opportunities for differentiating digital capabilities and solutions.
• Lead the process to identify and evaluate internal digital asset capabilities and strengths.
• Assess external digital opportunities and threats as key inputs to making the best decisions on business strategy given digital realities.
• Lead the end-to-end development of the digital business strategy and roadmap and ensure its integration with the enterprise strategic planning process, and the resulting business strategy and plans.
• Lead the creation and implementation of our digital design language and user experience framework, aligning with our brand identity.
• Ensure the enterprise is developing the digital assets and capabilities that will be needed to survive and thrive in the mid-term and long-term.
• Continuously monitor the viability and health of digital assets and rapidly evolve and improve them based on changing customer and business requirements.
• Constantly explore new and emerging technologies that are relevant towards improving customer digital experience.
• Act as a champion and change agent in leading the organizational changes required to create and sustain enterprise digital capabilities.
• Act as a thought leader on emerging digital business models and technologies, articulating the digital future and the enterprise's role in it internally and externally.
• Build and maintain professional relationships with the relevant internal and external stakeholders (e.g., higher education institutions, industry bodies, vendors and technology experts) in the area of digitalization to ensure synergy.
• Unlock digital business opportunities across the business based on key observed strategic and operational challenges or threats. Identify synergies for developing and implementing digital solutions.
• Provide a single point of contact, executive oversight and advisor for all digital initiatives and transformation projects.
• Oversee the development of an integrated digital budget and spend plan.
• Review digital value realization (i.e., ROI) across functions.
• Define and report on metrics that represent progress against digital goals.

Minimum Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree, preferably in computer science, software engineering, or other related degree.
• 10-15 years’ professional experience within web, app or technical product management and development.
• Experience working in a digitally forward organization is desired.
• Experience setting up and leading a large team with a high-performance culture is desired.
• Well-versed with the latest innovation in digital, and able to transition a vision or an idea into reality within current limitations. Must be able to work hands-on and is willing to guide team members.
• Strong presentation skills and commercial acumen, with the ability to engage and manage senior stakeholders.
• Understanding of the product management lifecycle and of web/application best practices.
• Able to organize, prioritize and manage multiple projects and stakeholders.
• Understanding of a variety of methodologies from Agile to Waterfall, and of common software development practices is advantageous.
• Experience in innovating business models and developing new channels, business models or business transformation.
• Experience in financial services is a bonus.
