II. Responsibilities
- Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance tasks on equipment, machinery, and facilities to minimize breakdowns and maintain optimal performance. Follow maintenance schedules and checklists to ensure consistent upkeep.
- Repairs and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, or other technical issues in equipment and systems. Conduct thorough troubleshooting to identify root causes and implement effective solutions.
- Emergency Response: Respond promptly to emergency maintenance requests and breakdowns. Prioritize urgent repairs and take appropriate actions to minimize downtime.
- Equipment Overhaul and Calibration: Perform overhauls, adjustments, and calibrations on machinery and equipment to maintain accuracy and extend service life.
- Facility Maintenance: Conduct maintenance tasks related to the building's infrastructure, including plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and painting.
- Inventory Management: Manage spare parts inventory and maintenance supplies. Identify critical spare parts and ensure their availability to minimize downtime.
- Documentation: Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs, and spare parts used. Update work orders, maintenance logs, and inventory systems accurately.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines during maintenance activities to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others. Report any safety hazards or incidents promptly.
- Training and Development: Stay updated with the latest maintenance techniques and technologies through ongoing training and workshops. Continuously improve technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborative Support: Collaborate with other maintenance team members and departments to accomplish shared goals and provide assistance when required.
- Ensure and control the strict execution of the BSCI rules.
- Perform any duties assigned by the Head of Maintenance.
III. Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional technical certifications or relevant education preferred.
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Technician or in a related field.
- Strong technical knowledge of mechanical, electrical, or other relevant systems, depending on the maintenance focus.
- Proficient in using maintenance tools, equipment, and diagnostic devices.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to maintenance tasks.
- Physical capability to perform manual labor, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
- Flexibility to work varying shifts, weekends, or overtime as needed.
