Receiptionist/Hostess

Position Overview: 

We are seeking a charismatic and fluent Mandarin-speaking host/hostess to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide a warm and welcoming atmosphere for guests, assist with seating arrangements, and ensure smooth operations in the dining area. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a friendly demeanor, and the ability to create positive experiences for our guests.

Responsibilities:

1. Greet guests as they arrive at the establishment with a friendly and welcoming attitude.
2. Assist guests with seating arrangements and provide information about available seating options.
3. Manage the waiting list during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates.
4. Communicate effectively with guests in Mandarin, ensuring their needs and preferences are understood and addressed.
5. Escort guests to their tables and present menus.
6. Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure timely seating and service.
7. Monitor the dining area to ensure cleanliness, organization, and adherence to safety standards.
8. Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests or concerns.
9. Assist with special events or promotions as needed.
10. Collaborate with other team members to maintain a positive and cohesive work environment.
11. Handle reservations and inquiries over the phone or in person.
