Penerangan Pekerjaan - Manager - Accounts Receivable - Credit Control

About the Role: You will have accountability of global Accounts Receivable (AR) Credit Control (CC) function of the Association including both founding bodies AICPA and CIMA covering the geographical locations US, UK, Rest of Europe, APAC and Africa regions. You will report to Senior Manager – Order to Cash (OTC) You Will:
  • Ensure debtor position reflects the correct balances addressing discrepancies, anomalies, retaining the debtor ageing at agreed levels and escalating foreseen financial risks to the Senior Manager – Order to Cash (OTC).
  • Ensure accurate execution of processes within the remit including collection, credit card processing, receipt creation, cash application, Political Audit Committee (PAC), Benevolent Fund, Foundation and other contribution processing, stop check and escheatment, month-end closure and debtor write-off accounting.
  • Reviewing potential and existing customer accounts for credit approval, different payment mode approval, and maintaining the limits in agreement with line manager.
  • Review the aged debt and write-off evaluate the finance risk stemming from aged debt and mitigate and manage the risk.
  • Review the unapplied cash position and collection position and design strategies and build partnership with business owners and external team member.
  • Develop and implement analytical reviews to understand business trends, and correlations.
  • Design the bad debt provision methodology ensuring that doubtful debt is provided in time and communicated to the impacted team members.
  • Perform monthly reserve journals, and AR sub-ledger to General Ledger (GL) control account reconciliations.
  • Prepare schedules reports requests by the internal and external auditors, investigate and explain deviations and anomalies.
  • Ensure the current control framework related to team's processes are operating and the processes including compliance with corporate policies, local statutory bodies, GAAP and IFRS requirements.
  • Plan capacity of the team considering business cycle, short term peaks, and technology and transformation projects, and work in alignment with line manager to rightly resource the team.
  • Conduct interview, make hiring recommendations, and manage performance of AR team members by conducting evaluations, designing development plans, and recommending for necessary training and development needs
  • Conduct root-cause analysis of escalations and process breakdown and ensure detective and preventive controls are implemented.
  • Deliver process standardization, improvement, automation and reengineering to create greater value to our organization.
  • Be the subject matter expert develop the right parameters, requirements, and design of AR processes.
You Have:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance/accounting or professional finance qualification.
  • Exposure in delivering continuous improvement projects, Six Sigma, RPA and other automations.
  • Experienced managing AR Credit Control processes at managerial level in GBS
  • Business knowledge of AR Credit Control and End-to-end OTC Tower activities Billing, adjustments, customer master records maintenance, bad debt provisions.
