What you'll be doing:

The corporate solutions team is responsible of PPG Group's Global ERP, HRMS, Finance, Procurement, etc related solutions and projects. The position acts as an internal solution consultant to internal stake holders, businesses, and users. Understanding of internal processes, operations, requirements, and functions is vital. As the position will be extensively involve in corporate solution projects such as ERP, Procurement and HRMS projects which will be rolled out to all businesses under the group, the candidate must also understand PPG's goals and visions and align them to the business requirements and IT strategy when working with vendors to ensure all our mandates are implemented and addressed accordingly. The role is also responsible of post implementation management and support to ensure seamless operations of the solutions under the corporate solutions purview to support PPG Groups operations and business objectives.

The applicant if successful will immediately be responsible for the support of our current finance and accounting application. The person will also be involved in our ERP project.

Some of the responsibilities are:

Project Implementation phase

  • Required to extensively participate in the entire project implementation lifecycle which includes but not limited to activities such as RFP tendering, requirements gathering, solution blueprint, documentations, enhancements, solution validation, training, user acceptance test, data migration and go-live.
  • To map out PPG's end to end processes between different departments, divisions and functional areas and then assist in translating these requirements as part of project deliverables to ensure all areas and processes are covered.
  • To prepare and provide project related documentation in a thorough and concise manner.
  • Required to learn and operate solutions under the Corporate Solutions portfolio.
  • Required to work extensively with Subject Matter Experts from both PPG's internal team and with vendor.
  • The position also acts as an intermediatory between users and vendors, the candidate is also required to ensure PPG's requirements are addressed by validating and verifying solutions proposed and performing quality assurance testing to ensure solutions are implemented accordingly.
  • The candidate is also required to take part and assist in change management activities.
  • Required to prepare and deliver project related documentation, reports and presentations.

Immediate/Post Implementation

  • Required to provide first level support to businesses and resolve any day-to-day issues that may impact operations.
  • Gather and manage new requirements and enhancement request.
  • Conduct training and knowledge transfer to internal team.
  • Work with vendor to ensure new request, enhancements, bugs/issues that may require vendor's involvement.
  • To perform quality assurance testing to ensure any new solutions/enhancements that are rolled out working as intended.

About You:

Qualification

  • Degree in Finance, Accounting or IT related fields.
  • 3+ years of experience in Enterprise Resource Planning Implementation role, preferably with consulting experience with Regional/Global exposure in sizable implementations.
  • Able to provide documentation in a clear and concise manner is a must · Hands on experience with enterprise system such as Sun Accounting, Microsoft Dynamics, Oracle Suite and SAP solutions would be highly advantageous.
  • Exposure to ERP and/or HRMS processes such as AP, AR, GL, FA, Procure to Pay, etc.
  • Experience in the Travel, Hospitality and F&B related industry implementation project experience would be advantageous.
  • Able to attend to urgent issues outside of official working hours.
  • Able to travel.
  • Clear understanding of ERP Project Lifecycle and methodologies (i.e. Waterfall / Agile models).
  • Excellent analytical and decision-making skills.
  • Proactive and take initiative with demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Proven track record in regional / global implementation projects.
  • Experience maintaining documentation throughout the project implementation cycle.

Professional Experience & Skills

  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • A strong written and verbal communicator, comfortable interacting with colleagues at all levels.
  • Proficient in written and spoken English language and fluent communication in Cantonese and Mandarin is a plus.
  • Able to effectively multi-task and deliver quality results within fast-paced project deliverable deadlines.
  • Capability of holistic thinking, being able to connect dots.
  • Good at building networks, connections, positive collaborations, and consensus.
  • Flexible and resilient, ready to face new approaches.
  • Able to work & make decision independently, as well as part of a team.
  • Able to clearly describe and isolate in-scope and out-of-scope elements.
  • Able to interact with multiple stakeholders at different levels within the organization.
  • Desire to take ownership in project delivery.
  • Good team player, able to build relationships at different levels of the organization.
  • Good grasp of Project Management tools and methodologies.
  • Culture sensitivity. Ability to adapt to is vital.
  • Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
  • Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
