Orius Digital is looking for a second in command, Operation & Delivery Director to help our growing startup agency. Overseeing delivery & internal operations for our key offerings such as eCommerce, UI UX Design, website builds & digital marketing for our impressive client portfolio as we build our growth program.
Previous types of work experience that would suit the role include agency-side Senior project managers/directors, product owners, digital project managers/directors, digital marketing managers, operation managers, and similar roles. (Must be an operational role)
The Role
Experience & Skills
- Team management of a creative, marketing, and technology agency
- Experience w/ contracts, budgets, timelines, resources, and staffing
- Identifying ways to improve systems and process
- Work with PM in managing developer and designer resources, both internal and freelancers
- Work well with people and understand how to make their jobs easier
- Negotiating and/or dealing with client requests
- Timeline management
- Passion for, and understanding of eCommerce, Mobile, CX, Design & Technology
- Project management capabilities
What You’ll Do
- Work directly with account managers/project managers and MD to oversee agency operations
- Turn the agency’s business strategy into reality
- Increase profit margins agency-wide
- Manage the details of internal processes
- Lead special projects to expand the agency’s services
- Improve agency profitability through resource management, budgeting, and streamlining systems
- Identify when to hire freelancers, contractors, or new team members
- Collaborate with MD & project managers to improve agency operations
- Oversee and work alongside project managers to plan resources and utilization of staff
- Manage / document processes and hold team members, including the CEO, accountable
- Assist with project scope creation and creating estimates
- Helping with contracts and SOWs to clients
- Work with the bookkeeper to ensure invoices are paid
- Oversee time tracking and reporting for all team members
- Track project profitability. Create reports and present problems/solutions to the MD
- Track project milestones and deadlines for key accounts
- Identify problems with the agency and ideas on how to fix them
- Engage with clients to ensure they are happy with our services
- Engage with employees to ensure they are happy with their jobs
- Oversee our relationships with partner companies
- Train Project Managers
Requirements
- We are looking for team members to contribute, improve, and optimize our process, as well as bring new ideas and strategies to client projects.
- At least 4+ years of agency or client service experience
- Operations or team management experience is a MUST
- E-commerce and/or web development experience preferred
- Know how to “talk the talk” with designers and developers.
- Exceptional communication or organizational skills
- Proficient in Google Apps, Slack, and other project management tools(Clickup)
