General

1. Academic leadership: The head of school is responsible for providing academic leadership to their department, setting the direction and vision for the department's academic programs, and ensuring that their school members are meeting the department's BAC academic standards and comply with MQA academics requirement.

2. The head of school is responsible for planning and managing the school budget and resources planning across for BAC for computing academic needs.

3. Curriculum development: The head of school plays a key role in developing and implementing the department's academic curriculum, ensuring that it is up-to-date, relevant, and meeting the needs of students and the broader academic community and facilitate the receipt of FA for the programmes offered by the school.

4. To establish and strengthen industry engagement and collaboration for school.

5. To initiative scheduled the marketing activities for school which may include; Expert sharing event, webinar, engagement with bac2school activities.

6. To represent the senate for school and ad-hoc task force at Group level.

7. To educate and provide guidance to head of programme and academics on new curriculum (programme) development (MQA-01) and review (during the accreditation process (MQA-02), ensuring that review and revision of curricula and instructional practice occur continuously).

8. Mentoring and coaching of academics within the school on OBE and programme standards changes from time to time.

9. To carry out performance reviews and teaching evaluation discussions with the academics.

10. To plan the training needs for the department.

11. To involve and build up the school's strategic goals and to update the team from time to time.

12. To assist with marketing efforts by explaining the subject matter and the benefits of the course when needed.
