Purpose of the position

• Productivity improvement
  • o Ensuring a healthy productivity improvement pipeline and cost stack by at least 6% per annum.
  • o Work closely with the On-site operations team in the timely execution of the identified productivity improvement project
• Data Analysis
  • o Ensuring that relevant operations data and KPI are gathered and analyzer so that benchmarking can be done, and improvement opportunities are identified.
• Competency Development
  • o Ensure that relevant training programs are actively in the pipeline to enhance the competency of the operations team.
• Productivity improvement
  • o Identification of gaps/ opportunities
  • o Project execution – to ensure productivity projects is executed on plan.
  • o Saving reporting – Power steering/ scorecard
  • o Drive continuous improvement via productivity
• Data Analysis
  • o Efficiency – Unit Power/ SPEZI/ SPC/ SNG
  • o Reliability - % reliability / % Availability
  • o SAP Reconciliation
  • o Product Losses
  • o Variable Cost-
    • Power cost – Tariff management / EC related issue
    • NG Cost
  • o Fixed Cost – Repair & Maintenance Cost
  • o Production Cost/ Standard Cost – profitability study
  • o Quality Analysis
  • o Budget/ Annual Plan analysis
  • o CAPEX Support
• o MPC/LMPC – MPC lite for Ecovar

  • o Process Training – ASU/ HyCO/ CO2 – to work with Regional Team
  • o Competency Training – Instrumentation / Mechanical / Electrical – work with relevant SME

  • o Improve on-site operation data compilation process.
• Competency Development
  • o Ensure that relevant training programs are actively in the pipeline to enhance the competency of the operations team.

Required key skills (functional/technical)

• Good background in safety management
• Knowledge of ASU/ HyCO/ CO2 plants including the associated hazards
• Familiarity with Linde and relevant National & International codes and standards
• Broad understanding of mechanical, electrical, instrument and process control subjects
• Setting up & implementation of work processes
• Business Acumen

Required qualifications/experience

• Bachelors/ master’s in engineering
• Minimum 3 years’ experience in operations and maintenance of continuous process plants
• Minimum 3 years’ experience s on-site operations engineer or IPC / electrical/ mechanical engineer.
• Assignment in remote operations center.
• Experience as project team member of a new plant installation and commissioning.
