Sales Engineer (Junior / Executive/ Manager)

Purpose of the position
The incumbent is responsible to perform day to day, planned and breakdown mechanical maintenance as required in safe and cost-effective manners.
Principal responsibilities

· Dissemble, assemble, install, align, test and maintain all mechanical equipment and operation units by using hand tool, power tools and test equipment.

· Perform physically demanding tasks and heavy duties related to fabrication, installation and maintenance, including work from ladders, scaffolds, and other complicated environment when required.

· Attend to machine at on call standby basis when required.

· Perform supervisory duties as required on maintenance related work performed by internal personnel or contractor.

· Assist maintenance supervisor in planning, scheduling and monitor work when required.

· Fully follow instruction and collaborate with supervisor, engineer and other workshop personnel in every job involved.

· Fully comply with all safety requirement, rules and procedures.

· Advise or acknowledge superior on potential hazards and defect. Seek permission before making any modification.

· Participate training an ensure compliance to assessment that conducted by supervisor, engineer or company

Key functional skills

· Ability to use various hand tools, special tools, overhead cranes, belts etc

· Ability to use measurement tools tor critical clearance measurement and alignment.

· Ability to read simple process parameter and interpret mechanical drawing.

· Ability to perform simple machine troubleshooting

Required qualifications/experience

  • At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
  • Experience in maintenance of rotating equipment, fabrication or mechanic workshop.

Purpose of the position

· To achieve and exceed annual sales plan by building the capability of the sales force, providing leadership, coaching and individual development to win and maintain customers within designated industries and products.

· Supporting and delivering business strategies, ensure delivery of revenue growth & profitability, leverage global capabilities & resources and implement local strategies & programmes.

· Working collaboratively with support functions (marketing, supply chain, customer service, application & engineering) to deliver targets

· Established a strong commitment to safety for the entire PG&P function

· Integrates and embeds accountability for safety in all subordinates

· Visible leadership in Behavioral Safety Programme

· Supports all safety and quality standardization activities in the workplace

· Actively supports and complies with regional and national initiatives

· Implements strategies to ensure business base is protected and growth is captured

· Constant buildup of new business opportunities

· Develop processes that drive sales and improve profitability

· Provide coaching for continuous sales performance improvement to the sales team.

· Works with production team and business managers to provide forecast Supply & Demand, anticipate market needs, and feedback production’s performance and assist to develop improvement plan

· Collects/Gathers market intelligence, keep track competitor’s movement and conduct analysis to improve business model & projection

· To ensure delivery of PSO and Business targets such as Revenue, New Wins, DSO, and Pricing

· Delivers and supports Product Service offers in line with Business Strategies

· Account Management and drive growth strategies for Distributor segment/key Accounts

Leadership Functions

· Drives improvement in the provision of products/services to customers

· Effective management of the sales processes

· Business acumen on PGP business

· Actively participates in the management of key customers

· Works with CEC and other functions to ensure customer complaints are addressed

· Leads significant change initiatives to improve Sales Revenue, DSO & Pricing agenda.

· Implements Business Strategies cascaded by the Head of PG&P/Business Manager.

· Manages adequate risk assessment when executing sales plan.

Competency Development

· Ensures placement of competent employees.

· Determine capability gaps within the sales organization and develop processes to fill the gaps.

· Succession planning in management team.

· Completes individual Development Plan

Required qualifications/experience

· Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering or any other related field

· At least 5 years’ related experience, preferably in Sales/Marketing background

· Experience and knowledge of the Industrial products market preferred

· Demonstrated success in leadership role
