Senior Project Engineer

Job Responsibilities:

• Responsible for overall project delivery.
• Interpret customer's technical requisition package drawing and document to develop technical proposal/solution.
• Coordinate with customer, supplier, and internal resources to ensure on time delivery of all engineering deliverables as per the project deliverable list and budgeted project cost.
• Develop and review project related documentation – not limited to VDML, project schedule, SLD, schematic, P&ID, design calculations, datasheets, testing procedures, installation procedure, and Job Hazard Analysis.
• Design electrical, instrument and control solution for rotating equipment.
• Create and maintain formal documents, follow standard and regulatory compliance.
• Plan, schedule, setup and lead in-house testing, site installation, and commissioning.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or equivalent
• Experienced in AutoCAD or any other design software.
• Experience in project execution and site execution (minimum 3 years).
• Understanding of oil & gas or maritime rules and regulations regarding electrical, instrumentation and control engineering
• Understanding of electrical power generation, distribution, and protection for low and medium voltages (switchgear, transformers, motor control centres, lighting, automation cabinets)
• Understanding of engine control system, generator control system and other rotating machinery.
• Experience with PLC programming is an added advantage.
• Knowledge on explosion proof concepts is an added advantage.
• Ability to learn concepts and technical details of complex systems.
• Ability to work independently, accepting ownership of assigned responsibilities.
• Pro-active and self-motivated team player with strong engineering judgment skills
• Able to work well in a high-pressure environment with continuous changes.
• Creativity and strong analytical skills to solve complex technical challenges with innovative solutions.
• Good command of the English language, both written and spoken, strong communication skills
• Willingness to travel for short assignments – meetings, offshore facility or plant when required.
