About Us:

At Airasia MOVE, we're dedicated to transforming the Online Travel Agency (OTA) landscape in Southeast Asia. With aspirations to become the premier OTA in ASEAN, we're assembling a team of dynamic individuals with a global mindset to navigate the diverse markets and cultures across the ASEAN.

Role Overview:

We're in search of a Strategic Project Officer to spearhead and coordinate pivotal strategic initiatives aligned with our business objectives. Reporting directly to the Chief of Staff in the CEO office, you'll collaborate closely with the Airasia MOVE CEO and broader leadership team to translate strategic visions into actionable plans. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape our regional expansion strategy and drive substantial growth.

In this role, you must be comfortable working across a diverse set of stakeholders, and have had experience managing medium to large-scale projects. You will be working directly with a team of 1-2 people, however you can expect to be engaging 8-10 people across different functions at any given time.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the ideation, planning, and execution of high-impact projects to bolster Airasia MOVE's regional expansion strategy.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to develop and implement initiatives focused on driving growth and market penetration across diverse ASEAN markets.

  • Serve as a strategic advisor to the leadership team, offering insights and recommendations to achieve ambitious growth targets and operational excellence.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration and innovation within the global growth team, encouraging cross-functional cooperation and knowledge sharing.

  • Drive the development and implementation of performance metrics and KPIs to track project progress and ensure alignment with strategic objectives.

  • Act as a liaison between internal stakeholders and external partners, fostering strong relationships and facilitating effective communication channels.

  • Oversee the preparation and delivery of compelling business presentations and documents for both internal and external audiences.

Requirements:

  • Education Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, Economics, or a related field. Advanced degrees or certifications (e.g., MBA) are a plus.

  • Proven Track Record: Demonstrated success in conceptualizing, leading, and delivering high-growth initiatives within the OTA industry, with a preference for experience across international markets.

  • Passion and Understanding: Deep understanding of the FinTech landscape, coupled with a demonstrated passion for staying abreast of emerging trends and market opportunities.

  • Critical Thinking and Business Acumen: Exceptional critical thinking, problem-solving, and business acumen, with the ability to navigate complex and evolving market dynamics effectively.

  • Project Management Skills: Strong project management skills, emphasizing data-driven decision-making and a track record of delivering results in a cross-functional environment.

  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective leadership and motivation of diverse teams across geographical boundaries.

  • Technical Exposure: Working exposure or familiarity with product and tech environments, including proficiency in Agile methodologies, is highly desirable.

  • Forward-Thinking Mindset: Possess a forward-thinking mindset, capable of anticipating market trends and identifying innovative growth opportunities for the organization.

  • Adaptability and Comfort with Change: Comfortable operating in a fast-paced environment and adept at navigating through ambiguity and change with confidence.

  • Cultural Sensitivity: Demonstrated cultural sensitivity and ability to adapt approaches when working with stakeholders from diverse backgrounds.

  • Proactivity and Ownership: Proactive, resourceful, and driven to take ownership of initiatives, actively seeking out opportunities for innovation and growth.

  • Data Proficiency: Comfortable working with data and analytics tools to derive actionable insights that drive business strategy.

  • Leadership Potential: While direct team management may not be involved, leadership potential is important. The candidate should be able to inspire and influence others, leading cross-functional project teams and gaining buy-in from stakeholders at all levels of the organization.

  • Global Mindset: Possession of a global mindset is valuable for understanding broader industry trends and best practices. Stay informed about global developments in the OTA and FinTech industries, drawing insights from diverse sources to inform strategic decision-making.
