Intellectual Property Executive

Job Overview 

We are looking for a highly independent and motivated IP Executive to join our team. The ideal candidate produces intellectual property (IP) related documents, upholds professionalism and ethical standards. He/she plays an important role in overseeing the organization's IP portfolio and handling legal correspondence to ensure that deadlines are adhered to in compliance with legal and organizational procedures. 

Responsibilities 

Intellectual property case management including searches and prosecution of applications for registration of intellectual property rights domestically and internationally 

Preparing documents for submission to the Intellectual Property Registries. Ensuring all IP matters are processed and handles in a timely and efficient manner to comply with appropriate regulations and deadlines 

Filing applications and monitoring status 

Advising on various IP matters, including IP strategies, course of action and costs 

Advising on office actions and drafting submissions 

Attending to clients’ queries and correspondences 

Coordinate trademark filings 

Assisting with recordals projects, opposition matters, IP due diligence exercise, opposition matters, etc 

Time, billing and reporting 

Any other matters/projects that the management may require assistance with from time to time 

Qualifications 

Candidate must possess at least Bachelor's Degree in any field 

At least 1 – 3 year(s) of working experience, IP related is preferred  

Exceptional written and verbal communication and negotiation skills  

Resilient and great multi-tasking capabilities 

Excellent time management and organizational skills
