We are hiring for Head of Claim, Legal and Insurance

Salary; RM 10,000 to RM 14,000

Prefer someone from maritime or logistics, freight & delivery services industry

Job Responsibilities

Providing legal guidance on a wide range of legal matters such as contracts, regulatory compliance, litigation, employment law, intellectual property and corporate governance.
Overseeing the operation of the legal department.
Ensure all claims are filed with relevant insurers in a timely manner;
Coordinate with relevant insurers to process various marine claims (hull, cargo, crew & related P&I claims);
Review contracts on charterparties, ship managements and new buildings and provide legal advice;
Assist commercial team to handle and settle charterparty disputes;
Lead Loss Prevention Initiatives & continuous improvement in marine claims processing & procedures;
Ensure proper documentation and record of all premium payments and insurance claims of the company.

Job Requirement

Minimum bachelor's degree in law-related or relevant studies.
(5) years of experience in a legal & claims leadership role within a corporate environment.
Comprehensive knowledge of relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
