SENIOR QUALITY MANAGER

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the Quality Department and Laboratory in daily operational activities with the factory, new product innovation (NPI) and defining/implementation of ISO standards.

• Work closely with site senior management to provide strategic direction and development of organization’s quality policies and tactics

• Collaborate with Program, Production, Procurement, Supply Chain, Warehouse, and Engineering teams to establish SOPs and integrated Quality systems, ensuring alignment with company objectives and local statutory and international standards

• Assess new designs for manufacturability, testability and reliability to minimize the Quality risks and meet the deliverables of the new products.

• Ensure systematic recording of quality issues to facilitate data analysis and feedback to the production team

• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance quality processes, reduce defects, and optimize manufacturing efficiency.

• Prepare and present quality reports, key quality performance metrics, and improvement plans over Yield, IQC, and scrap administration to senior management.

• Manage the complaint handling and RMA processes to ensure customer satisfaction and product and process improvements.

• Evaluate supplier process capability based upon criticality of component, new material testing and services including sorting and rework.

• Develop and manage the operating budget and capital expenditure proposals for the Quality Department to ensure achievement of operational targets (KPIs).

• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices related to quality management systems. Requirements:

• At least 20 years of relevant experience in quality management, production processes, and working with suppliers/manufacturers, preferably in an industrial or consumer goods manufacturing company

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Engineering, preferably Mechanical (Product), or equivalent

Working knowledge of ISO 9001,14001, IATF 16949 standards

• Knowledge of Six Sigma, lean labs and standard work practices.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

• Strong Design of experiments (DOE) and problem analytical skills

• Certified QMS Auditor / Lead Auditor in ISO or equivalent will be advantageous

• English language is required and Chinese language is a plus

• Ability to travel to meet customers and suppliers

• Ability to train and develop the Quality Engineers
