Job Description

We’re seeking a savvy, self-driven, creative and passionate Assistant Marketing Manager with a flair for out-of-the-box strategic thinking to lead our marketing team and build our growing business in the gifting, events and lifestyle sector.

Your Responsibilities Includes:

• Developing marketing ideation, strategies, campaigns and activities for the company’s brands by studying economic indicators, tracking changes in supply and demand, identifying customers and their current and future needs, and monitoring the competition.
• Building the marketing calendar and providing short- and long-term market forecasts and reports by methods of market research, analysis and interpretation of market data.
• Obtaining market share and increasing brand awareness by developing and implementing marketing plans, advertising and programs for each brand with promotional support.
• Ensuring the company is communicating the right messaging to attract prospective customers and retain existing ones with clear value proposition and positioning for all products.
• Planning and coordinating marketing strategies with each business unit’s Head of Department on a monthly basis to meet each brand’s targets.
• Achieving financial objectives by preparing and managing the marketing budget, scheduling expenditures, analysing variances and initiating corrective actions.
• Providing periodic reports to senior management and conducting presentations on the progress of marketing activities and results of campaigns.
• Maintaining relations with customers by organizing and developing specific customer-relations programs and determining company presence at conventions, trade associations and major industry-related events.
• Keeping abreast of latest trends and providing insights to relevant departments by identifying and assembling marketing information as well as answering queries and requests.
• Managing and coordinating marketing and creative staff by scheduling and assigning tasks and following up on work results.
• Developing each team member by providing information, educational opportunities and experiential growth opportunities.
• Monitoring team performance, ensuring members meets deadlines and completes necessary tasks with quality.
• Maintaining the marketing department headcount by recruiting, orientating and training new employees.

This Role Requires:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Marketing or related fields.
• Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in the marketing, advertising & event industry with success stories with at least 3 years in a senior role.
• Proven working experience in digital marketing with demonstrable experience in managing SEO/SEM, marketing database, email, social media and display advertising campaigns.
• Excellent project management skills and experience in handling projects.
• Strong command in written and verbal English language is a must.
• Good communication and presentation skills.
• Self-motivated yet customer-focused.
• Ability to think out-of-the box and express creativity.
• Attention to detail and a good eye for visual artwork aesthetics.
• Fast in problem-solving and resourceful.
• Technologically savvy, dynamic and creative problem solver who thrives in fast-paced environments.
• Positive attitude, willingness to engage hands-on execution and able to work independently.
• Must enjoy working in a fast paced environment and attending a wide range of events.
