Job Responsibility

Free-Lance Economists will have the responsibility of undertaking research according to CME customersâ requirements and expectations. This will include research, writing and preparing presentations.
Write papers and reports as required by CME business activity and customersâ expectations.
Interpret and forecast the trends of the market by studying present and historical trends.
Advise on solutions to economic problems for a company, government or businesses.
Research economic issues that may be relevant for CME business activity and customersâ expectations.
Analyze collected data by using software, statistics and mathematical models.
Create and conduct surveys and collect data
Present the results of the research through tables, charts and reports in person and in written form.

Job Requirements

Malaysian nationality (Malaysian citizen living in Malaysia).
Bachelor degree in economics or political economy (completed or close to completion).
Fluent in English (spoken and written) and Bahasa Malaysia(spoken and written).
High organizational skills.
Ability to work independently, with minimal guidance and under tight deadlines.
Good and accurate in data entry and filing.
Well-versed in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Passionate with free-market economics.
