About this role:

Social Snowball is the word-of-mouth marketing platform for eCommerce. Our modern and automated affiliate programs drive millions in revenue for over 1,000 leading brands such as Fanjoy, Outway Socks, and Crossnet. We are a fast growing bootstrapped startup with a collaborative and passionate team.

We’re looking for a motivated & creative individual to join our team as a senior full stack engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for shipping and managing new products, all related to affiliate marketing for eCommerce, ultimately helping us build out our suite of tools and functionality. This role reports to the CEO and works closely with our growth and customer success teams.

 

Responsibilities:

• Build & ship new products under the Social Snowball brand
• Help organize product roadmap
• Communicate with customer success and support to ensure reported bugs are documented and fixed
• Communicate with the team to discuss product vision and prioritize what we build
• Outline best practices & ensure they are being followed
• Help establish the technology vision, strategies, and growth plans
• Improve the product by listening to ideas from the team, advocate for innovative ideas, and finding paths to their implementation
• Ensure we are releasing as often as possible and staying on track with deadlines

• Have experience with early stage start ups
• Thrive on shipping products fast
• Consider yourself scrappy
• Have experience in Python
• Have experience building scrapers
• Have experience in the Shopify ecosystem
• Have experience in Laravel
• Have experience in utilizing Laravel vapor
• Have experience in CI/CD pipelines, plus if CircleCI knowledge
• Have experience with Shopify API
• Have experience in writing Laravel unit and feature tests
• Have experience using git + knowledge of gitflow development practice
