Overall:

As the Marketing subject matter expertise and strategic leader, co-define portfolio strategies for both immediate- and mid-term horizon. The incumbent can identify market trends, shape portfolio strategies, manage a team of marketing professionals (product managers and executives), build relationships with internal and external stakeholders and collaborate cross-functionally with other departments to ensure marketing campaigns and ROI.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic intent on marketing deliverables, aligning with company goals, ensuring brand consistency and market positioning.
  • Conceptualize, develop, implement, and monitor marketing, branding and communications plans, programs, and spending, in support to achieve product portfolio or multi- channel/territory/franchise objectives.
  • Monitor business performance, conduct robust research and data analytics as well as regular internal and external stakeholder engagements. Proxy senior leadership in management meetings.
  • Establish marketing metrics, campaign tracking tool and dashboard reporting to leadership team with commentaries for continuous improvement.
  • Provide insights and action plans on sales ambition, current performance, risks and opportunities, and resourcing, in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with sales, sales force effectiveness, market access and medical functions to identify market opportunities and develop solutions to improve patient access to high quality and affordable medications/treatments.
  • To spend at least 10% – 20% field days with sales team per month to understand market dynamics and field sales bench strength.
  • Develop and manage the marketing budget, allocating resources effectively to achieve optimal ROI across various marketing initiatives.
  • Oversee traditional, omnichannel and digital marketing efforts, including social media, content marketing, SEO, SEM, email marketing, and website optimization.
  • Stay abreast of industry trends, competitive landscape, and customer insights to identify new opportunities and adjust strategies accordingly. Provide input and market insights to Business Development department for future products.
  • Identify and cultivate partnerships, sponsorships, panel vendors and other strategic alliances that enhance brand visibility and reach.
  • Plan and execute relevant industry events, trade shows, webinars, and conferences to enhance brand presence and foster networking opportunities.
  • Lead, coach and develop direct reports in marketing capabilities and improve bench strength for future roles.
  • Provide and arrange product training sessions for sales and marketing team.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with relevant company policies.

Job Requirements:

  • Must possess a degree in the field of Business / Marketing or any science discipline. An MBA would be considered a vital asset.
  • Minimum 3 years of professional sales and marketing management experience from Pharma, MNCs, and/or Healthcare industries.
  • Experience in oncology/hematology / specialty care therapeutic areas is advantageous.
  • Ability to communicate, influence and network with key stakeholders at all levels, both internal and external.
  • Strong knowledge of and experience in brand marketing, including positioning, campaign development, omnichannel marketing and digital execution.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively to both internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong relationship with key opinion leaders/healthcare practitioners (HCPs) in the field. Excellent mentoring, coaching and people management skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Powerpoint & Advanced Excel (Macro/VBA functions).
  • Proficient in using Sales & Marketing CRM systems and tools such as SalesForce.com, Zoho, Zendesk, Monday.com, Tableu, PowerBI, Hubspot, etc.
  • Willing to travel within Malaysia and overseas whenever required.
