We operfate a fusion or western/chinese contemporary restaurant. We are now recruiting several chefs to support our kitchen operations which include Commis Chefs, Demi Chefs and Sous Chefs. Brief descripiton of the roles are described below:-Commis Chef (RM2000 to RM2500) - He/she is required to discharge a variety of daily kitchen operational matters from getting the kitchen ready to start business and also cleaning and clearing up the kitchen to close for the day. Also, to assist in replenishing raw materials and ingredients, food preparation and keeping the kitchen clean and hygienic. He is expected to work well with other front of house crews and kitchen crews, and is required to delivery excellent food quality and presentation to the customers.-Demi Chef (RM3000 to RM3500) - He/She is responsible to keep the cook station organized during production and that the food is prepared on time. He may assist with cooking, preparation and plating when required. He also makes sure that all health and food safety standards are practiced and he helps troubleshoot any kitchen issues that may arise. He/She must cooperate with the front of house crews to deliver good service to the guests.-Sous Chef (RM4500 - RM5500) - He/She is responsible for providing supportive leadership to kitchen staff throughout food service which include assisting the Head Chef in monitoring kitchen activities, work with the front of house manager to expedite orders to ensure quality taste or presentation. He takes on additional responsibilities in the Head Chef’s absence to ensure that kitchen staff has proper direction. He/She will prepare meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner, ensure the kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements. He/She also oversees the proper use of kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers, managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality. Applicants must possess the follpwong:-At least a Diploma in Culinary Arts and with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in the respective roles applied for.-For those looking for progression from their current positions to the positions advertised above are also welcomed to apply. -Must be able to speak and write in Malay and English. Those with the ability to speak Mandarin is an advantage.-Able to work split shift of 10 hours, with rest of 2.5 hours in between.-Have own transport. Our restaurant is within walking distance from a MRT Station.-Able to work on weekends.-In good health and maintain high personal hygiene.-Able to work in a team environment especially within the kitchen team and the front of house crews.
