Account Assistant - Urgent

The job on offer: Account Assistant

An Account Assistant is an entry-level position for aspiring finance and accounting professionals. Provide support to the accounting and finance teams, key objectives include timely and accurate reporting of AR and AP activities throughout daily operations and month-end closing.

The successful candidate must be operationally hands-on, organized, highly motivated and able to work with a disciplined approach towards managing people and work.

What a typical day looks like:

• Handle daily accounting functions, including data entry, filling, maintaining, and updating account records.
• Enter all transaction details into the system accurately and promptly.
• Prepare payment vouchers and process online payment transactions.
• Recording and filling cash transactions
• Reconciling invoices and identifying discrepancies
• Provide administration support to the accounting department and other teams as needed.
• Assist other ad-hoc duties are required.

Expected skills needed:

• Candidate must possess at least a Secondary School/SPM/’O’ Level, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma.
• Work experience as an Accounting Assistant.
• Knowledge of basic bookkeeping procedures.
• Required skills: Proficiency in Accounting software and MS office Suite.
• Computer literacy is essential.
• Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
