Penerangan Pekerjaan - Account Executive - Financial Reporting

Main Responsibility

Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger. Maintains financial records and ensures that financial transactions are properly recorded. The position is responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and compliant financial documents.

  • Entering financial data and transactions into the ledger
  • Reviewing financial documents for accuracy and reconciling accounts
  • Ensuring financial records comply with regulatory standards
  • Responsible for any tasks necessary to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Responsible for completing the management accounts and documents for statutory submissions, including tax submissions, tax estimates, annual return and equivalent.
  • Handling group consolidation and preparing for group return.
  • Responsible for all discussions and liaise with Company Secretary, Auditors, and Tax Agents.
  • Collaborating with other departments to complete accurate records and provide accounting support
  • Advices the management on the financial forecasts and budgeting by analyzing financial data
  • Supporting the Auditor, Financial Controller and other financial professionals in their duties as needed
  • For growth prospects, candidates will be involved in financial statements analysis and prepare budget variance analysis using sound judgment and critical thinking.

Qualifications and Work Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or tertiary level qualifications in Accounting, Professional (e.g. ACCA, CIMA).
  • 2-3 years of experience in accounting firms, shared services, outsourcing accounting service providers or in commercial services companies will be advantageous.
  • Good knowledge of Financial Reporting Standards, relevant tax and audit rules, procedures and guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, or Google applications, strong spreadsheet skills (Excel essential) and good knowledge of Word and Accounting Software.
  • Experience in using QuickBooks, Maybank2ubiz would be an added advantage.

  • Detail oriented and must work effectively and efficiently under time pressure
  • Self-starter/pro-active, and a team player with the ability to meet goals and deadlines
  • Good interpersonal skills, and
  • Candidates must have the ability to work with interruptions, strict deadlines, and minimal supervision.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
  • Strong organization skills and a team player.
  • Required languages : English, Bahasa Malaysia
