Job type: Full time, permanent – hybrid  



This position offers a hybrid work model, allowing flexibility between working from home and our office. Typically, employees are expected to work 2 days in the office per week.

As an Account Manager, this is what you’ll be doing:



The Account Manager is responsible for driving high retention and growth opportunities across the QS portfolio of products and services to the Higher Education sector in a defined Asia Pacific region. Duties involve closely supporting current accounts through regular contact and engagement. The Account Manager is expected to both maintain/uplift existing revenues and to prospect for new business working closely with the Regional Directors managing a pipeline relative to target needs. 


The primary customer base are Universities, however, engagements with Government Bodies and other entities servicing the Higher Education ecosystem will also be an opportunity.


The ideal candidate will be passionate about QS solutions and inspire our customers to see how they can benefit from partnering with QS. We are seeking ‘QS Evangelists’ to harness value creation for our clients and partners.

Role responsibilities



Revenue & Client Management:




  • To achieve/exceed territory revenue plan and quarterly growth targets through disciplined pipeline management with accurate forecasting

  • Effectively manage customer subscriptions to maximise retention and upsell opportunities

  • To effectively liaise with existing customers and prospects regularly to build trust and credible longstanding partnerships.

  • Build detailed in-depth knowledge of QS solutions and understand how these help our customers to succeed

  • Maintain strong, collaborative relationships across university key stakeholders ensuring the successful delivery of client strategies.

  • Leverage client and market data to help universities positioning QS as a strategic partner rather than a service provider.



  • Transform complex analytical outputs into simple, compelling narratives that guide university decision-making.

  • Contribute to discussions around industry challenges and growth areas



Key skills and experience



To succeed in this role, you’ll need:





    • Strong commercial acumen and the ability to spot business opportunities.

    • Exceptional client service and communication skills.

    • Proven ability to manage multiple client relationships simultaneously while delivering results.

    • Strong ability to communicate data-driven insights to non-technical stakeholders in a clear and persuasive manner.

    • Comfortable working with dashboards, CRM systems, and performance analytics tools to extract insights and drive strategic conversations.

    • Demonstrated ability to use data to influence client strategy and decision-making

    • A positive, proactive approach with a strong sense of accountability.

    • Experience in customer management and influencing client stakeholders.

    • Ability to thrive under pressure and meet deadlines.

    • An international outlook and an appreciation for diversity



    Desirable Experience:




    • Background in higher education or knowledge of tertiary education processes and procedures is preferred.
