Responsibilities:
- Update, monitor, and ensure the proper implementation of approved business policies, finance, and accounting practices.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with tax cycles, including timely submission of tax estimates, annual tax computations and returns, tax instalment payments, and withholding tax remittances.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly International Finance Reports (IFES) and clearly communicate monthly and annual financial statements.
- Coordinate and liaise with the Company Secretary, Auditors, and Tax Agent regarding accounting and tax matters.
- Stay informed about current regulatory tax developments and tax compliance requirements.
- Prepare Cashflow Forecasts and Budgets.
- Monitor banking facilities and liaison with bankers on bank facilities matters.
- Other duties befitting the role and function as assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
- Possess at least a Diploma/Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma or Professional Degree in Accounting or an equivalent qualification.
- Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience.
- Strong command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
- Computer literate in Microsoft Office
- Candidates with an audit/taxation background from any audit/tax firm will have an added advantage.
