Job Summary

As an Account and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all financial activities of the organization, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations. You will lead a team of financial professionals to maintain accurate financial records, prepare financial reports, and provide strategic recommendations to senior management.

 

Key Responsibilities

  1. Manage and supervise daily operations of the accounting and finance department
  2. Oversee the end-to-end finance functions and manage the month end closing activities as well as financial, management and group reporting requirements.
  3. Monitor cash flow, accounts, and other financial transactions, financial statement to ensure the compliance of all accounting standards, company policies and statutory requirements and provide timely and accurate financial report to Management.
  4. Prepare financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
  5. Ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations
  6. Analyze financial data and provide insights to guide business decisions
  7. Develop and implement internal controls and financial procedures
  8. Conduct financial audits and recommend improvements
  9. Manage relationships with external auditors, tax advisors, and financial institutions
  10. Oversee payroll and accounts payable/receivable functions
  11. Mentor and develop staff, promoting a culture of continuous learning and improvement
  12. Managing and ensuring timely and accurate completion of quarterly group consolidated and subsidiaries management accounts.
  13. Sufficient knowledge in the Malaysian Financial Reporting Standard (MFRS) especially in Manufacturing Industry.
  14. Managing yearly audits and IT audit and ensure timely completion of Group and subsidiaries financial statements, including tax and defer tax provisioning
  15. Responsible and managing all tax audits, investigations & inquiries
  16. Oversee group internal control and governance
  17. Support maintenance of subsidiary ledger and general ledger
  18. Develop and coordinate internal controls procedures and financial SOP
  19. Regular review of company overall financial risks and implement improvement
  20. Ensure companies are in compliance to regulatory requirement such as taxation and custom
  21. To review monthly journal entries, reconciliation and supporting schedule
  22. Liaise with financial institution, external auditor, tax agent and company secretary.
  23. Perform any other ad-hoc activities as and when required by the Management.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
  • Professional Qualification in ACCA/CPA/CIMA or equivalent certification preferred
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in accounting or finance roles preferably in Manufacturing Industry
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage, motivate, develop and guide a team
  • Advanced proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
  • Strong understanding of financial regulations & compliance and reporting requirements, forecasting
  • Well verse with Accounting Standards (MFRS)
  • Knowledge of Service Tax, Withholding tax & custom requirement
  • Familiar with income tax computation & submission
  • Experience in Accounts Consolidation will be added advantages
  • Good leadership and management skills, highly motivated with good discipline
  • Good interpersonal communication, coordination, planning and execution
