Our client is a well -established company in the property development, construction, and building industry. They are seeking a highly motivated and experienced accountant to join their headquarters and manage the financial operations for several companies within their group. The ideal candidate will be a proactive leader who can help optimize their accounting processes.

Job Summary

We're looking for a dedicated and skilled Accountant to oversee the financial accounting and treasury functions for multiple companies within a larger group. You'll be responsible for ensuring all financial transactions, reporting, and statutory filings are accurate and timely. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team, liaise with external partners, and implement new technologies to improve efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Manage the full scope of financial accounting and treasury functions for selected companies.
  

• Monitor cash flow, liquidity planning, and funding needs, working closely with internal teams.
  

• Ensure all accounting records are accurate and up -to -date, and that financial statements are prepared in a timely manner.
  

• Lead the preparation of business plans, budgets, and forecasts.
  

• Ensure compliance with the company's Standard Operating Procedures, internal controls, and all regulatory requirements, including Financial Reporting Standards and the Companies Act.
  

• Supervise, coach, and mentor the accounts department staff to ensure work is completed efficiently.
  

• Act as the primary contact for external auditors, tax agents, and bankers.
  

• Identify opportunities to improve accounting efficiency by recommending and implementing new technologies and processes.
  

• Assist management with various ad -hoc financial tasks as needed.
  
  

Requirements

• A recognized degree or professional qualification in accounting.
  

• Must be a member of the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
  

• Experience in the property development, construction, or building industry is preferred.
  

• Up -to -date knowledge of the latest Financial Reporting Standards.
  

• The ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
  

• A positive, proactive attitude with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  

• High degree of integrity, maturity, and a pleasant personality.
  

• Knowledge of IFCA/ACCWIN accounting software is a plus.
