Accountant (Fixed assets and accounts payable)

## What you\u2019ll do\n\n\u2022 Daily management and oversight of fixed assets, leases, goodwill, and intangibles. \n\u2022 Maintain the fixed asset register, including additions and disposals, in SAP. \n\u2022 Ensure accuracy and timeliness in processing fixed assets and lease transactions and account reconciliations in accordance with US GAAP and IFRS requirements, and support month-end and year-end accounting close processes. \n\u2022 Manage fixed asset tagging and physical verification process. \n\u2022 Support accounts payable activities as needed. \n\u2022 Engage with stakeholders to provide basic technical accounting, policy, and other guidance, with assistance from Corporate Accounting as needed. \n\u2022 Liaise with internal and external auditors and the tax department on fixed asset\u2013related matters and manage statutory accounting and reporting for the related areas. \n\u2022 Ensure compliance with SOX requirements, internal controls, and company policies. \n\u2022 Participate in initiatives to improve, streamline, and simplify existing processes; assist with continuous improvement and special projects; participate in UAT testing; and update findings to management. \n\u2022 Regularly track and resolve outstanding issues identified and escalate to relevant parties, as necessary.\n\n## Preferred qualifications\n\n\u2022 Bachelor\u2019s degree in Accounting or a related field and/or a professional accounting qualification (ACCA/CPA/MIA, etc.) with at least 4 years of experience. \n\u2022 Experience using the SAP system. \n\u2022 Candidates with strong technical accounting knowledge from a Big 4 accounting firm (3 years or more of experience) who do not have the practical work experience listed above will be considered. Training will be provided. \n\u2022 Highly analytical, with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and identify issues from journals, reconciliations, and financial statements. \n\u2022 Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP. \n\u2022 Experience in semiconductor manufacturing is desirable. \n\u2022 Experience in a shared services environment is an added advantage. \n\u2022 Skilled in the use of MS Office tools (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint).\n\n## Our commitment\n\nWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
