Accountant (R2R)

You will serve as a key member of the Record to Report function, providing accurate financial information and insights that support strategic decision-making across SEEK's APAC region. This role partners closely with Finance Business Partners to deliver monthly management reporting, drive process improvements, and generate commercial insights that impact business performance. You will conduct in-depth financial analysis to identify trends and variances while ensuring compliance with SEEK Group accounting policies and IFRS standards. Working collaboratively across Finance teams, you will continuously improve the speed and automation of financial data processes from capture through to insight generation. You will supervise and mentor junior team members while contributing as an active advocate for the R2R team vision. Success in this role means becoming the trusted source for financial interpretation, streamlining critical processes, and building robust relationships that enhance decision-making capabilities across the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare monthly management reports with clear interpretation of results and future performance implications
• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to identify trends, variances, and improvement opportunities
• Ensure accurate reporting and appropriate accounting treatment of costs across business units
• Deliver strong financial controls and record results aligned with SEEK Group policies and IFRS
• Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and automation of financial workflows
• Supervise, guide, and mentor junior team members to develop their technical and analytical capabilities
• Collaborate across Finance teams to optimize data capture, reconciliation, reporting, and insight generation

• CA/CPA designation or equivalent professional accounting qualification
• Proven experience preparing and managing business unit P&Ls and balance sheets
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards, regulations, and IFRS compliance requirements
• Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with ERP systems and data visualization tools
• Excellent communication and presentation abilities with commercial insight interpretation skills
• Experience coaching and guiding junior accountants within team environments
