Accounting Associate - Room for Advancement

Job Overview: 

We're seeking a skilled and driven individual to join us as an Accounting Associate. In this role, you'll support the accounts team or superior by managing various tasks, including reporting, ledger maintenance, administration, and account reconciliation covering accounts payable, accounts receivable, general accounting, and related duties. Mandarin speaker would be plus point!

Responsibilities

• Maintain accounting entries in the system (e.g., payments, receipts, payables, receivables, accruals, adjustments).
• Timely preparation of full set of accounts, month-end, year-end closing, and aging/listings for Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, General Ledger, Profit & Loss, Balance Sheets, and related accounts schedules.
• Prepare bank/AR/AP reconciliation statements.
• Independently handle accounting and management reports, meeting deadlines with minimal supervision.
• Ensure quality deliverables in line with BU/client requirements.
• Respond promptly to client requests/queries/correspondences.
• Collaborate with external auditors and clients.
• Assist with accounting matters across departments.
• Perform ad hoc tasks assigned by Management.

Requirements

• Diploma/Degree in Accountancy/LCCI or equivalent.
• Minimum 1 year of accounting experience with full set of accounts.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Mandarin.
• Experience in investment funds accounting and familiarity with QuickBooks is advantageous.
• Ability to thrive under tight deadlines, with a proactive, multitasking approach in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong time management, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
