We are looking for an Accounting Executive to join us in our mission to contribute to a greener future. The role is based at our Penang Office, located in Malaysia. By joining us, you will contribute to building the first large scale battery factories in Europe and the United States.

Your tasks

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accounting Assistant to join our global Finance and Accounting team. In this role, you will primarily focus on local accounting tasks while collaborating closely with our Belgian headquarters to maintain accurate bookkeeping and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Process vendor and sales invoices and manage payments in a timely manner.
• Collaborate with the team to file tax returns accurately and efficiently.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements. Prepare and submit tax returns accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with tax advisors and authorities to address tax-related issues and inquiries.
• Support internal and external audits by providing documentation and assistance as required.
• Maintain organized records of the company's accounting documents, financial statements, and other related documentation.
• Willingness to undertake additional tasks within the broader administrative scope as needed

The ideal candidate has

• Bachelor degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field
• Proven experience in accounting/finance roles
• Strong understanding of local accounting principles and regulatory requirements
• Excellent organizational and time management skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy 
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as a part of a team
