Duties & Responsibilities:
Day-to day Accounting Activities
- Ensure issuing of invoices, payments, debit/credits notes, statement of accounts, official receipts, advices, etc. are within the appropriate timeline.
- Ensure the daily process are performed constantly and in accordance to the Company’s policies & procedures.
- Ensure all accounting records/documents are up to date, filed accordingly and kept in safe condition.
- Highlight/report on any abnormal transactions, errors or discrepancies.
Closing of Accounts
- Ensure all activities in the month-end closing process are performed in accordance to the prescribe calendar.
- Ensure all necessary transactions, accruals and adjustments for the respective accounting period are taken-up appropriately.
- Ensure all journals prepared are supported by appropriate documents and approvals.
- Ensure posting of journals/entries into system are done correctly.
Analysis and Reporting
- Ensure that weekly, monthly, quarterly, yearly reporting deliverable including management accounts, bank reconciliation, treasury report, etc. are accurately prepared, timely submitted and in accordance to the standard format as prescribed by the Management.
- Ensure all notes to the accounts and relevant schedules are available for review and analysis.
Internal Control, Policies & Procedures
- Ensure completeness of documentation for recording of all accounting entries including billings, official receipts, debit/credit notes, payment vouchers, journal vouchers, etc.
- Ensure all accounting records and supporting documents are duly signed/approved by the respective authorized personnel.
- Ensure internal controls are in place and constantly monitored to ensure compliance.
- Highlight/report any irregularities.
Requirements:
- Possess at least a LCCI or Diploma in Accountancy/ Finance or its equivalent.
- Minimum 1-2 years of relevant working experience, but fresh graduates are also encouraged to apply.
- Knowledge in bookkeeping or general accounting is an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and Microsoft Excel.
- Responsible, good attitude and willing to learn.
- Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently with minimal supervision.
