Accounts Associate (Bukit Mertajam) - Room for Advancement

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepare, compile and analyze account information of a company’s assets, liabilities, incomes and expenses account entries.
• Enter account and financial transactions according to verified documents.
• Prepare and recommend policies and procedures to maintain accounting standards according to Financial Reporting Standards.
• Answer any queries on account transactions asked by clients and relevant government bodies.
• Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information.
• Secure financial information by completing database backups.
• Maintain customer confidence and protect operations by keeping financial information confidential.
• Maintain professional and technical development by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; and participating in professional societies.
• Update the client on all relevant submissions before the due date such as audit, tax submission, GST submission, etc.
• Plan schedule and timetable to complete tasks assigned and to meet all submission deadlines.
• Monitor Tax to avoid tax penalty.
• Inform the client of any faulty account and transaction found
• Respond to queries from auditor, IRB officer, RMCD officer & stakeholders responsibly and professionally.
• Follow up on debtor aging and collection.

Job Requirements:

• Hold a degree in accounts and finance and/or professional qualification like ACCA or its equivalent.
• Fresh graduate or has at least 1 year of relevant accounting and tax experience.
• Familiar with accounting software such as Autocount, SQL, UBS, Million.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with people.
• Planning, organizing, and prioritizing skills that will enable work to be completed and delivered before the due date.
• Good Team player who works collaboratively within and across teams.
• Technical skills such as accounting standards eg: FRS, MPERS and always in the know on relevant updates on Acts or regulations.
• Attention to detail.
• Ability to manage stress, especially in managing deadlines, workload, client expectations, and others.
• Able to work under pressure, and tight deadlines in fast fast-paced environment.
• Social skills and emotional management on facing demanding clients.
