Penerangan Pekerjaan - Accounts Manager (Lahad Datu) - Career Growth Potential

We are in need of a focused Accounts Manager (Lahad Datu) to join our stellar team at Private Advertiser in Lahad Datu, Sabah.

Responsibilities

 

  1. Reviewing & monitoring the timely completion of the accounts which was targeted to close as per schedule.
  2. Determining the accrual of operational expenses when the site accounts is delayed due to late receiving of documents from site office.
  3. Verifying the off spec claim by the mill to be allocated to the respective operating units to offset against the revenue.
  4. Determine the potential of the staff, allocating the job to the right person and maintaining the standard company practices.
  5. Monitoring the overtime claim by the staff without compromising the accuracy & dateline requirement
  6. Monitoring & providing guidance to the operating units relating to company's standard procedures on accounting practices.
  7. Reviewing the report prepared by the executive for submission to the group accountant in Kota Kinabalu and also distributing the report to the respective operating unit.
  8. Compiling management report for group account in Kota Kinabalu review
  9. Monitoring & ensure the time completion of the cash & bank in the account reconciliation tally against the cashier book & bank statement prepared by the staffs.
  10. Ensuring all receivable is captured and payment received on time. Advances for staff & contractor are recovered on time.
  11. Monitoring & approving payments to the creditors to ensure payment is in line with the credit facilities.
  12. Arranging year end stock check together with the external auditors.
  13. Ensuring all year end requirement are duly fulfilled for audit requirement.

 

Experience required:-

  • Candidate must possess at least a Professional Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate/Degree in Finance / Accounting / Banking and equivalent.
  • At least 10 years of working experience in the related field/audit firm (with at least 5 years in managerial position) is preferred.
  • Member of accounting professional bodies, i.e. MIA/ACCA/CPA/CIMA/MICPA is preferred.
  • Act responsibly and ethically when working with sensitive financial information, whether it’s information for the company or for individuals
  • Good command of spoken and written in English, Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Experienced in using accounting software UBS Accounting, Quikbooks, MYOB and etc.
  • Computer literate and proficient in using Microsoft Office 365.
  • Proactive leader/ team player.
