Job Description
- Responsible for the full employment cycle including job posting, liaison with recruitment agencies, interviews, and preparing and conducting onboarding and training programs.
- Establish company policies and procedures, rules and regulations, and review and revise them from time to time ensuring compliance to the local laws and business directions.
- Develop and facilitate performance appraisal, computing annual increment and bonus payment for MD’s approval.
- Administer Japanese Expatriate remunerations, welfare, income tax matters, and liaison with tax consultants for the filing of tax returns.
- Liaise with agents about the foreign workers matters.
- Responsible for renewal of insurance policies ensuring adequate coverage and handling submission of insurance claims.
- Responsible for manpower planning, annual salary, recruitment, training, employees’ welfare, and operations budget. Monitor the expense accordingly.
- Oversee, check, and ensure payroll is computed accurately and processed timely.
- Perform periodic market surveys for salary and fringe benefits to ensure all are within the market range.
- Handles employee disciplinary, PIP, and industrial relation matters including engaging in collective bargaining, and industrial disputes.
- Plan and manage employee engagement activities such as annual events etc.
- Responsible for planning and managing training and development of talents, talent retention, and succession planning.
- Involvement in the ISO 9001 Quality System, procedures update, monitor, and ensure achieving department objectives set forth.
- Oversee administration and general affairs, IT, and office systems.
- Ensure smooth office operations and well-maintained employee welfare.
- Handle ad hoc projects assigned by superior.
- Adherence and enforcement of safety & health policies and procedures.
- Participate in the 5S implementation, cultivate, and practice 5S at all times.
- Any other tasks assigned by the superior from time to time
Job Requirements
- Possess at least a Degree level in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, psychology, or equivalent.
- With over 8 years’ relevant experience of which at least 3 years at managerial level in a unionized manufacturing environment.
- Well versed in Employment Act, Industrial Relation Act, SOCSO, EPF, and other statutory.
- Good knowledge in change management and problem-solving.
- Able to give constructive advice to the Management related to human resource management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- With leadership quality, ability to coach and motivate the team.
- Meticulous, able to work under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in MS Office Applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 will be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of IT network management is an added advantage.
- Experience in using HRMS systems.
