As an Admissions Support Officer, this is what you’ll be doing:


We are seeking a very detail-oriented individual for conducting credibility interviews to support the admissions process for international students applying to UK universities. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting credibility interviews with prospective students to assess their eligibility and preparedness for study in the UK.


This is a crucial step before receiving their CAS (Confirmation of Acceptance for Studies) from the applied University.


 


Roles and responsibilities:


 


• Conduct credibility interviews virtually via online interview platforms (e.g., Zoom, MS Teams, Skype) with prospective international students to assess their eligibility for a CAS.


• Review applicants’ documentation (e.g., academic records, passport, CV, language proficiency) prior to the interview to ensure all required documents are in place.


• Ability to evaluate the applicant’s motivation, academic preparedness, financial capacity, and understanding of their chosen program and the UK education system.


• Provide clear and professional feedback to applicants, guiding them on any additional steps needed for CAS approval.


• Ensure all relevant details from the interview and outcomes are recorded accurately in the system and shared files or as guided by our clients.


• Work closely with the Team Lead in UBS Admissions and the University’s International Office teams to report on interview outcomes and escalate any concerns or issues with specific applicants.


• Maintain a professional standard and ensure applicants have a positive experience throughout the interview process.


• Stay updated on any changes in UK visa policies, academic requirements, and institutional guidelines related to international student admissions.


• Ability to work as part of a team and independently.


• Well-developed organisational skills.


• A high level of attention to detail.


• Manage student data, to secure compliance with the Data Protection Act.


 


Key skills and experience:


 


 • Bachelor's degree or equivalent; higher education or international student recruitment experience is a plus.


• Strong knowledge of UK university admissions processes, particularly for international students with understanding of UK visa requirements, including the student visa (Tier 4) and the CAS process.


• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.


• Experience in conducting credibility interviews or assessments is highly desirable.


• Basic counselling experience will be useful


• High attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously and make sound decisions.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and familiarity with CRM systems or virtual interview platforms (e.g., Zoom)
